Lilliput UK has recently supplied [CommonAI](https://commonai.org/)'s data centres with our popular [15 inch touch screen monitor](/product/TK1560/), the TK1560. CommonAI's compute servers need careful monitoring and occasional manual intervention. A touch screen monitor installed in each rack cabinet presents technicians with critical, at-a-glance information about cluster health, without relying on a separate laptop or pulling out a monitor drawer on every visit.

<h2>Rack mount touch screen monitors in cabinets</h2>
<p>Data centre racks present unique operating environments for touch screen monitors: they can reach high temperatures when the servers are running, have limited ventilation, and rack unit space comes at a premium. So CommonAI had to consider a touch screen monitor that was small enough to fit into a 19 inch rack, perform reliably across wide operating temperature ranges, with VESA 75 mounts for rapid installation.</p>
<p>With a compact 15.6 inch screen size, -20°C to 60°C operating temperature, and VESA 75 mounts, CommonAI were able to meet all their operational needs with Lilliput's TK1560.</p>

<h2>Server health monitors</h2>
<p>In service, the monitor displays the server dashboards and control panel user interfaces. The touch screen inputs enable CommonAI technicians to directly control the server's user interface in a space-saving way, without further rack units needed by keyboard and mouse drawers.</p>
<p>Critical server information needs to be clearly readable under varying data centre lighting conditions. The TK1560's HD panel, 1000 cd/m² brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio and wide 160° viewing angles mean that CommonAI technicians can clearly read critical server information. The auto-dimming sensors also adjust the monitor backlight intensity: when the data centre lights are lowered, the monitor backlight can dynamically decrease too, reducing glare for the technicians without having to lower the brightness manually.</p>

## 4U rack mount touch screen monitor

This is an adjustable VESA 75 mounting plate that fits a standard 19 inch rack, compatible with these Lilliput touch screen monitors. The bracket lets you adjust the depth of the mounted monitor in 15 mm steps to recess it neatly into the rack and close the rack cabinet door.
