Lilliput UK announces the AV Matrix DE20-4K, a bi-directional 4K HDMI to NDI® encoder/decoder. Bi-directional means you can set the DE20-4K to either encode or decode an NDI®|HX3 signal. Up to 50 Mbps over PoE+ on RJ45. At MPTS 2026 we first demonstrated the DE20-4K encoding a live HDMI video signal into NDI® on the stand network. 4K HDMI to NDI® migration
The DE20-4K is aimed at 4K HDMI-based workflows looking to migrate video sources onto an NDI® network. Perfect for retrofitting HDMI video sources with a compact, affordable encoder/decoder.
Encode path and decode path at the show
On the booth we used a second DE20-4K as a decoder to turn an NDI®|HX stream back into HDMI, then fed that HDMI output into a Lilliput PVM150S 15.6 inch preview monitor for local monitoring.

The DE20-4K is part of AV Matrix’s wider signal management range of products and sits alongside their other NDI®-capable hardware (such as the DE21-4K PRO); it reflects a continued commitment to the NDI® ecosystem as customers standardise on IP and NDI®|HX for contribution and monitoring.
Local recording
The unit can record to SD card, USB disk, or NAS using FAT32 or exFAT, which keeps a file-based copy next to the encoder when you do not want a separate recorder in the chain.
Accessories
The carton ships with a 12V 2A power adapter. Optional extras from the manufacturer include mounting brackets and a USB Type-A to Type-C cable.
